Being local is not a marketing line in Aurora. It is why a service call happens the same day, why commissioning does not slip a week waiting for a crew from another state, and why we know which reviewers ask which questions about locked stair doors.
Aurora carries three distinct concentrations: accredited healthcare, airport-corridor distribution and a very large multifamily stock. Each has a different dominant compliance driver.

In Colorado, Wyoming, Utah or New Mexico.
The Anschutz Medical Campus puts a university hospital, a children's hospital, a medical school and a veterans' facility within a few blocks, and it pulls a large clinic, specialty practice and medical office ecosystem around it. Nowhere else in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah or New Mexico has that density.
The dominant driver in that ecosystem is workplace violence prevention, and the accreditation expectation that a facility performs a documented risk assessment and acts on it. That reframes the project. The deliverable is not a camera count. It is coverage that matches the assessment, duress alerting staff can actually reach, and a record that shows what you changed and when.
Video in a clinical setting also needs care. Security footage is generally not treated as a medical record, but video capturing patients in treatment areas can contain protected health information. Access should be role-restricted and logged, retention should follow a written schedule, and camera placement should avoid treatment areas where coverage is not clinically or safety justified. We ask the facility privacy officer to sign the camera map and we design to that signature.
Aurora holds a large share of the airport corridor's distribution and light industrial base. The work there is gate and dock identity verification, yard and fence line analytics, high-value cage access, and shipper or customer audit support.
Cargo theft nationally rose from roughly 2,243 confirmed incidents in 2024 to roughly 2,646 in 2025, while total estimated loss value rose about 60 percent to roughly 725 million dollars and average loss per theft rose about 36 percent to roughly 273,990 dollars. Incident counts have plateaued into 2026 while value per theft and sophistication have climbed. The method shift is the design driver: impersonation of legitimate carriers rather than forced entry.
Aurora has one of the largest multifamily inventories on the Front Range, and it keeps growing. We work on the property and its common areas for owners and management companies: leasing offices, lobbies and entries, mail and package rooms, amenity spaces, fitness rooms, pools, parking, garages and gates, and trash and recycling areas.
We do not work inside individual dwelling units and we do not offer residential service. Package room incidents and garage access are the two complaints that generate most of the calls, and both are solvable with credential control plus one well-placed camera at identification-grade pixel density.
Aurora is served by large districts with substantial bus fleets, so the school platform questions apply here in full: unified cameras and door access, visitor management at a single controlled entry, emergency notification, retention policy, and Colorado's restriction on facial recognition in schools.
Written generally, because it varies by building: any electrified locking arrangement that affects a required exit is reviewed locally, and the fire authority decides. Expect scrutiny on free egress, fail-safe behavior on alarm and power loss, request-to-exit devices and signage.
Being based here means we can attend the inspection rather than schedule around a crew's travel week. Fire code egress is never overridden to make a design work.
Pricing does not change much by city. Labor rates, lift work, conduit runs and permit time do. Treat every figure below as a budgeting range for scoping, not a quote.
Hardware is typically 20 to 35 percent of installed cost. Budget roughly 1,000 to 2,500 dollars per camera fully installed, more for pole mounts, parking structures, long conduit and lift work. Access control runs roughly 1,500 to 3,500 dollars per door installed for a card or fob system, and cloud access software is commonly 3.50 to 15 dollars per door per month.
In cloud video, retention period is the single largest cost lever, ahead of resolution, analytics and whether recording is continuous or event based. Decide retention as a policy question first and the budget follows.
Cargo theft figures compare 2024 and 2025 industry reporting, with the 2026 plateau noted. Accreditation and privacy summaries are planning summaries, not legal advice.
6105 S. Main St. Suite #200, Aurora, CO 80016. Phone is 303 596 7819. It is our only physical location, which is why you will not see a fake local address on any other city page on this site.
Security footage is generally not treated as a medical record, but video that captures patients in treatment areas can contain protected health information. Restrict access by role, log every view and export, retain on a written schedule, and have the privacy officer approve the camera map.
No. We work on the property and its common areas for owners and managers. We do not work inside individual units and we do not offer residential service.
Aurora is our home market, so local calls are the fastest we do. Response commitments are written into the support agreement rather than promised on a web page, and we would rather put a number in the contract than in marketing copy.
The drivers change with the geography. These are the differences worth knowing.
